Hello, I'm going to be spending a lot of time in airports this December but I just updated the calendar and will continue to do so before I leave. I'm still recording shows. Instead of 3 or 4 a week I've opted for 3-4 per month lately. I love archiving live music but this has given me more time to spend with family and friends. I just wanted to thank anyone who's ever cared about and or stopped by this site. I know it's been a little dead lately. Please do me one favor, take care of you and yours the best that you can.

Gifts From Enola recently broke up so I wanted to pull this out of the Archives. This recording was originally posted in August 2009. No editing was done in 2009 so if you enjoyed that recording I encourage you to check out what Jordan has done here.

Gifts From Enola were booked to play Minneapolis exactly two years prior to this show on July 29th 2007 at Memory Lanes with Nomia but I believe the show got canceled on the Mpls side. They came back the summer 2008 but I was out of town. I was happy to finally catch up with them at The Turf Club. Gifts From Enola, Falcon Arrow and peoplearemagnets opened for Paragraphs.

They have one last show at Bule Nile in Harrisonburg, VA on June 8th.

Meet Brain Tumors, in my humble opening the greatest punk band to come out of Minneapolis in the past decade. Brain Tumors first played the 7th Street Entry on November 15th 2012 opening for some band from the UK. Federal agents confiscated that recording at bar close so all that remains from that evening are individual memories and hearsay. This evening was in support of the Total Trash tape release and a tour kick off for both bands. The Miami Dolphins and Ugly Motors also played. 

They just got back from tour so I can't encourage you to check out the show in your town but perhaps I can encourage you to spend 16 minutes reading their tour diary while you listen to this recording? They say that attempting to record a Brain Tumors set is suicide for expensive electronics. I say some things are worth the risk to document.

Last Saturday 9/8 I was fortunate enough to record WHY?, Doseone and Serengeti at The Cedar Cultural Center. Thanks to Snake and to The Cedar. WHY?'s fifth album, Mumps, etc. will be released on October 9th 2012.

Tonight is Caspian and Cursive at The Varsity Theater. Caspian's third album, Waking Season will be released on September 25th in the US.
