No Bird Sing and The Teddy Holidays opened for Crescent Moon is in Big Trouble. NBS has been one of my favorite Twin Cities bands since getting into them this past October. They have an All Ages CD Release Show at Eclipse Records September 11th and an 18+ CD Release Show at the Triple Rock on September 12th.

Check out Culture Bully for more info on the new album.

Megaupload is annoying so here's a .RAR containing all of the mp3s.

This was a rare performance by Crescent Moon is in Big Trouble. Maybe their second this year? Maybe their sixth ever? You try not to miss these if at all possible but sometimes it happens. Well, if they had to listen to one in 2067 I'd like for it to be this one because the quality is sassy. The performance and the sonics are tops. The BBQ Chicken Po-Boy was delicious as usual. Look for their EP on emusic or other fine online stores and independent record shops.

I kept this one on the shelf because of the five unreleased songs that were played. Out of respect for the band these songs will not be made available for download. This post is unique in that it's the first time I've offered hi-res mp3s for direct download instead of .flac files via a pesky torrent hosted on another site.

More hi-res mp3 downloads of other shows to come. Keep an eye on the "mp3 series" tag.

Bella Koshka - "Fiction" Live @ The Beat

Due to a lot of the material played being unreleased I didn't want to post the full recording. You can still check out a hi-res mp3 of "Fiction" here.

Learn more about Bella Koshka at this location.

El Guante & See More Perspective - Direct Download

Download a .RAR containing the FLAC files here.

El Guante & See More Perspective
The 7th St Entry

Saturday December 27th 2008

In anticipation of the party being thrown by millcityscene.com this Thursday at the Barfly I present this direct download (no messing with torrents). On the bill are El Guante with Big Cats!, Kredentials, Hy-C Tha Image and Simply Us with DJ Swee2th.

This is the same recording that was offered via torrent here. If you're not familiar with extracting files from a .RAR I use WinRAR which is available here. If you need help converting .flac to .wav or .mp3 check out FLAC Frontend. There are PC, Mac and Linux versions available. Traders' Little Helper is also a good FLAC converter. I want you to hear the best possible quality, that's why I'm a fan of FLAC. MP3 downloads are on the way though.
