Murder by Death support the taping & filming of their shows. Please support them by buying the official releases. Thanks to the band, The Triple Rock and to Dixie. MBD tour constantly so check them out when they roll through town. I ran into Adam at the bar and they are not used to playing early shows at all. He's a glutton when it comes to the Cook's Revenge. I myself prefer the BBQ Chicken Po-Boy. I wish I would have stayed post-show but I had been up since 6AM only to do it again the next day.
Please note that some schmuck spilled a drink about 5 inches to the left of my bag. Therefore, the first song and 1:06 of the second song are patched with the soundboard source. I was very happy with the way this turned out because the sbd mix sounds nice which can be rare. Thus I present you with a complete copy of the show. Enjoy.
Minneapolis band Where Astronauts Go To Hide opened. Look for their set to be posted soon.

April 2009 interview with the Decider.
Please support Kill the Vultures by picking up a copy of the new album "Ecce Beast" or any of the official releases. Thanks go out to Kill the Vultures and the Triple Rock for allowing this recording to happen. It was a busy night. Weeks heading into the show I was torn between archiving the local scene and catching dredg, one of my favorite bands from Los Gatos, CA at the Varsity. Respect to dredg but I could not let KTV's CD Release go unrecorded. Some drunken conversations weave in and out of the tape but so goes capturing an audience recording at a popular show on Friday night. With that said, this has to tie and or beat one of the First Avenue sets as my favorite KTV tape. The sound is crisp and the performance is meaty. That's a compliment, trust me.
Mike Mictlan of Doomtree and Mel Gibson & the Pants opened. What's up Mike the 2600 King.

First "official" City on the Make show of 2009. Anyone catch Jackie & the Rippers at the Nomad a few weeks ago? They definitely got some of their chops from City on the Make. Massey was worried about a head cold tonight but I think everyone brought their A game. This is no doubt my favorite Combat Zone yet. It's highly likely the new album will be out this year so keep your eyes out for that. The new material is really coming together.

The first show I ever taped was dredg opening for Sleepytime in Tempe, AZ Jan. 2004. I have since missed at least three Minneapolis SGM shows for various reasons but I redeemed myself last Monday. This is an amazing band. If you're into it please support them by buying the official releases. Faun Fables and Dub Trio were also recorded. Many thanks to the bands and to The Triple Rock for permitting these sets to be documented.

Hey East Lake...
I've got quality recordings of City on the Make @ the 400 Bar 4/2/09 and Hand Over Fist 4/3/09 at the Triple Rock. Well, let's top it off with the Kill the Vultures's CD Release show tonight at the Triple Rock. I just need to talk to the sobriety fairy this weekend.
